Chandigarh "The Beautiful City!" To Set Become Next Spot For Home Buyers.

Chandigarh, also known as The Beautiful City, is a city and a union territory in the northern part of India that serves as the capital of the states of Punjab and Haryana. As a union territory, the city is ruled directly by the Union Government of India and is not part of either state.

Good-quality real estate in Chandigarh is becoming a scarce commodity in the sectors that have good infrastructure. There is virtually no piece of land free in premium sectors like Sector 5, Sector 7, Sector 21 and Madhya Marg.

After Chandigarh, it is becoming exceedingly difficult to find freehold land in Mohali, Kharar and Panchkula. Nearby areas like Zirakpur, Baltana, Dhakoli, Dera Bassi and Mani Majra are much in demand now.

The prices of land here are almost half of that in Delhi and thus people are flocking to these new and upcoming areas, despite poor infrastructure and lack of maintenance. Investors are laying huge bets on these areas.

All the people from the nearby as well as far off towns and cities pack their bags and head to the city of dreams, Chandigarh. Some arrive in Mohali to make both ends meet while some plan to try their luck either in movies or in the glamorous world of fashion.

There is another category which comes to Chandigarh - the educated, well-qualified youth for a better career opportunity. All the people migrating to Chandigarh with some hope or the other naturally add to the existing population, adding more pressure fuel to the existing population fire.

Chandigarh-based property brokers, says that people are now buying property in Chandigarh sub-urban areas not for residential purposes but for investment purposes. This attitude reflects a sea-change in the mentality of users.
